The objective of this course is to teach students with the fundamentals of computers and computer nomenclature, particularly with respect to personal computer hardware and software, and the World Wide Web. Lab practices will also be accompanied to accustom students to our lab facilities (including desktop computers and workstations), to some commonly used software packages (e.g., word processing, spread sheets, and powerpoint), and to various internet applications (e.g., email, bbs, and WWW).
